National Alliance of Sport for the Desistance of Crime
The National Alliance of Sport for the Desistance of Crime was established in July 2015 with the support of the Ministry of Justice, National Offender Management Service, Clinks and Comic Relief. It was officially launched in October 2015 by its Ambassador, the Rt. Hon Lord McNally.
The Alliance champions the power of sport and works strategically with key stakeholders across sport, government, business, development and academia. Its mission is to provide our network with the learning, skills and resources to tackle crime through sport.
The Alliance’s strategic objectives are to:
– BuIld a robust evidence base to inform policy and practice
– Increase investment
– Support global learning and collaboration
